The genetic capacity of Staratel for reproduction increases the population up to 1.5 thousand times a year. Annually earthworms process organic wastes and produce their own weight of vermicompost. Thus the increasing mass of 1 g of the earthworm Staratel produces about 100 kg of vermicompost a year (see figure).
